IS GOD REALLY UNQUESTIONABLE?
As a little boy while growing, I had so many questions in my mind, I desired explanations for so many events. I was so inquisitive, I always asked questions both in school and church.
My desire for explanations was so high that so many of my teachers started shunning me! I was told I was too talkative, comments on my report sheets were always about how inquisitive I was. Little did I know that I was building so much intelligence. However, many of my elders started discouraging my inquisitive mind, they said I was troublesome, I was told I asked too many questions. So the passion to ask questions declined and I became so reserved and quiet. I decided to keep to myself, I asked myself questions and gave myself answers since older people didn’t want to answer me. The so called foolish questions filled my heart and I gave foolish answers to myself. I made a whole lot of mistakes and became depressed.
I ended up living life anyhow and taking responsibilities for my actions. I developed this same mindset towards God, I believed that God was unquestionable. If men could be so unquestionable, how much more God? was my thought.
However on a great day, I stumbled at an awesome portion of the scriptures which is Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins arelike scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.
Invisible veils fell off my face, I saw God in a new dimension, I saw that God is interested in reasoning along with men. This sounded so unbelievable but the truth sank deep into my heart and I began to renew my mind. Stories of how Abraham negotiated with God on behalf of people of Sodom and Gomorrah entered my heart. I remembered how Moses also pleaded with God to repent from destroying the Israelites in the wilderness. He even gave God reasons why God should make reconsiderations and the Bible recorded that God repented of his initial plan to destroy the Israelites. I also saw in the scriptures how God had dialogues with prophets of old. The real nature of God became so real to me and I began to renew my mind in alignment to this new truth. Lo and behold my life got better. I enjoyed fellowship with the Lord. My fear was erased, my heart was strengthened, my confidence was restored and I became so joyful, Joy was seen on my face. I asked God so many questions and He generously answered me. I had more insight into the scriptures and became a better believer.
My friend, God is not mysterious, He is not unquestionable, He longs to give answer to ALL questions, only ask in a sincere and humble way.
Matthew 7
7 Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you.
8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.
If there are mysterious events in your life, ask for why, make inquiries. Ask for revelations. God is a father. Yes a lovely father! So loving! So caring! Not aggressive, very friendly. Stop seeing God as unquestionable, stop seeing Him as Mysterious. The Holy Spirit is in the believer, He’s a revealer of hidden secrets. Engage Him actively. Your life can be better if you stop seeing God as mysterious and unquestionable. To carnal men, it’s a mystery however, to spirit filled ones, there’s clarity and revelation.
1 Corinthians 2
15 But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him].
16 For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart
I call you Blessed
