Purpose Discovery

I believe strongly that a man who has not discovered purpose hasn't found the substance for his existence, he hasn't discovered the reason for his being and thus can not function in alignment to God's plan for his life. Purpose discovery is a serious issue in the heart of many, a lot of people ask questions on why they're on earth. 

I once met a dear sister who told me sincerely and bluntly that she didn't know the substance of her existence. She didn't know why she was created, she didn't know why she was going to school, she said all she knew about herself was to wake up, go out and sleep. To the Glory of God, that beloved sister is now fulfilling God's calling for her.

Purpose can be defined as the assignment given by God for an individual to fulfill on earth. Purpose is a divine calling, a God-given mandate for an individual to fulfill on earth

When God created man (human beings generally), He gave them an assignment to fulfill on earth

Genesis 1:26-28

 26  God spoke: "Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth."

 27  God created human beings; he created them godlike, Reflecting God's nature. He created them male and female.

 28  God blessed them: "Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge! Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air, for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.". {The Message Version}

God created man to take authority over the earth. To have dominion over the earth, to be responsible for everything created by God. This is to say that Man has delegated authority over the earth. Man has God's instructions and mandate to take charge of the earth on God's behalf.

Little wonder Adam after being created was instructed by God to name all animals and whatsoever he called them was their nameAdam defined the nature (name) of each animal. So if you see a cat behave the way it does, it was Adam who defined its nature and character. The Dominion mandate was given to Man

In verse 27  So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. God created man in his own image, male and female HE CREATED THEM. I thought it was supposed to be GOD CREATED ADAM ALONE since it was Adam we saw first. This means that EVERYONE HAD BEEN CREATED BY GOD FROM THE BEGINNING. THE SAME DAY ADAM WAS CREATED IS THE SAME DAY I WAS CREATED, IT'S THE SAME DAY YOU WERE CREATED. However, the day we began to appear on earth is what makes the difference

Verse 28  AND GOD BLESSED THEM and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.

God BLESSED THEM not God blessed HIM. God's blessing upon Man was for all (revert back go verse 27). The blessing wasn't upon Adam alone. We were all blessed by God to fulfill purpose in the beginning. So you don't start looking for God's blessing, all you need to do is to come to the consciousness of God's blessing. You've been blessed already IN THE BEGINNING THE MOMENT YOU WERE CREATED. So even before birth, you carry the blessing of God upon you.

All men (irrespective of religion) has God's blessing upon them. God created ALL in the beginning and BLESSED ALL in the beginning. That drunkard out there has been blessed by God already. That canal believer has God's blessing dormant on him. All the unbeliever needs is to come to the family of Christ so the blessing can be activated

All the carnal believer needs is to come to full awareness of God's blessing on him

Galatians 1

 11  But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

 12  For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

 13  For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

 14  And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. note

 15  But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

 16  To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: {KJV}

Verse 15 says... When it pleased God who SEPERATED ME FROM.MY MOTHER'S WOMB Apostle Paul who used to be the great murderer was already separated from his mother's womb {before he was formed}. People saw the man who persecuted the Gospel but GOD SAW THE GREAT APOSTLE

Thus, calling isn't about what you desire to become but WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY CALLED YOU TO BECOME BEFORE YOU WERE BORN

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations

Can you see this. Jeremiah was already ORDAINED before he was formed in his mother's womb

Isaiah 49:1-3 {KJV}

1 

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified

Isaiah said the same thing in the reference above.Glory to Jesus

You don't learn purpose, it's not a skill, you're called into it. Even if you're called into the music ministry, it's not your voice training or skill in playing instrument that will make you.

It is the anointing- the mandate received before birth, anybody can learn anything

What makes the difference is the CALLING

You can run away from the purpose for as long as you wish, when the hand of God rests on you, you'll have no option than to heed. Paul said; when it pleased God who has separated me from my mother's womb AND CALLED ME BY HIS GRACE to reveal his Son in me. His encounter came when it pleased God.

Purpose is a mandate, an assignment, a.commission bestowed upon you by God before you were born. 

You may be a gifted singer and God has called you to the teaching ministry, in this case, singing is a talent. The teaching ministry is your purpose on earth. Nevertheless, there are times your purpose will be in the line of your talent. It happens a lot.

HOW TO DISCOVER PURPOSE

The most potent way of discovering purpose is through intimacy with the Spirit of God. Some people already knew their purpose but do not have an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit, this can be related to a beautiful vehicle without an engine. It can only be pushed to move. That's why you see people fizzle out of relevance in ministry They never have substance.

Consciousness of Purpose without intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit will only produce vanity. Intimacy produces accurate understanding, substance, direction, strength and eternal relevance.

The Bible says, call upon me, I will answer you, I WILL SHOW YOU GREAR AND MIGHTY THINGS THAT YOU KNOWETH NOT. Intimacy with the Lord produces revelation of all sorts.

Another propellant to discovery of purpose is WILLINGNESS AND READINESS to know

Matthew 7:7-8 KJV

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

The last means of discovering purpose that I will be sharing here is KEEN ATTENTION TO DIVINE POSSIBILITIES AND STRANGE HAPPENINGS IN YOUR LIFE

Here, I'm not talking about talent. When I was young, I was accurate in dreams, my dreams always came to pass. My words were always like authority. As I grew older, I began to pay attention to this. They were pointers to the prophetic

I've seen kids who have amazing insights into God's word... They can teach the same very well.. That points to the teaching Grace. Some kids are so passionate for evangelism, that's pointing to something big. Some of us have amazing strange possibilities we don't pay attention to, those things are pointers to the mandate of God. over your life. Some kids are just blessed with leadership abilities, the ability to coordinate their mates is strong on them. That's a pointer to something

Finally , I beseech you to go to God in prayers and seek his face concerning your life

EVERYONE HAS A PURPOSE TO FULFILL. YES! NO ONE IS WITHOUT A DIVINE MANDATE
